Tteok-bokki (떡볶이) Spicy Rice Cake

Tteokbokki is a popular Korean dish of chewy rice cakes in a sweet, savory, and spicy sauce. The name translates to “stir-fried rice cake."

Ingredients
- ¼ cup Gochujang sauce
 - 1 cup water
 - 1 cup rice cake
 - 2 square Korean fish cakes (cut into bite-sized pieces), rinsed with hot water
 - 1-2 green onions (diced, about 2 Tbsp)
 - 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
 
Directions
- Add Gochujang sauce to a pan, add water, and stir until boiling.
 - Add rice cakes and fish cakes to the pan. Stir and cook for 5 minutes.
 - Add diced green onions and stir for 1 minute.
 - Quickly stir in sesame oil (optional) and garnish with toasted sesame seeds.
