Korean Spicy Braised Tofu (두부조림)

Ingredients
- ¼ cup Gochujang sauce
 - 1 cup water
 - 1 block tofu
 - 1 onion, sliced
 - 1-2 green onions, diced (about 2 Tbsp)
 - 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
 - Garlic salt or salt (for tofu)
 
Directions
- Cut tofu into ½ to 1-inch thick square pieces. Pan-fry tofu until golden brown on each side (4-5 minutes per side). Season with garlic salt or salt.
 - In a small bowl, combine Gochujang sauce and water.
 - In a large skillet or pan, arrange sliced onions in a single layer. Place tofu on top in a single layer.
 - Pour the Gochujang sauce mixture over the tofu and onions. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
 - Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
 - Stir in chopped green onions and cover for 1 minute.
 - Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and serve over rice.
